Chapter 2: An Inspector Calls

The Detulux team are shocked when the latest INTERPOL agent assigned to their case, Inspector Jacques Russo, puts two-and-two together and realises that Detulux Incorporated the legitimate domestics supplier might have something to do with Detulux Incorporated the illegal arms trading firm.

There's a mad scramble as Inspector Russo makes a surprise visit to Detulux HQ. Will Russo find evidence of a link and arrest the team? Is Pain really dressing as Doc Holliday and putting on a terrible Southern drawl as a disguise? What does Pain's (very expensive) solicitor have to say about all this?

Episode published on Sunday 9th of April, 2017.

I don't know, you would have thought that this might have come up sooner when the visit from INTERPOL was announced.

Title - 113: "An Inspector Calls"
Subtitle - xxiv. "Tanks a Lot"

(Approaching another warehouse, following some distance behind Russo, Pain leans in towards Slymme.)

Pain: This should be interesting...
Slymme: Why?
Pain: I obviously haven't given you an updated list of my warehouse stock, mate, because that warehouse is currently full of-

(Downstairs, a henchman calls down through the lift space to the Captain, Ben and the other henchmen as the lift descends.)

Henchman 1: TANKS! It's full of tanks! And trucks. But mostly tanks!

(A second henchman clutches at his head in hysteria.)

Henchman 2: We're not going to fit those down here! We're screwed!

(The Captain thinks, rubbing his chin. We see his thought process illustrated in crayon. In his thoughts, the Captain gives a thumbs up as he drives a tank towards a wall. There's a large cartoon "BANG" as he breaches the wall.)

Captain: I suppose we could drive a tank out the back wall, and convoy out the rest?

(In his thoughts, a conga-line of tanks leaves through the back of the warehouse. The Captain looks unhappy as Russo is there, pointing angrily at the tanks. Slymme is gesturing angrily in disbelief, while Pain just looks awkward.)

Captain: It'd make a helluva noise though.
Ben: Ah've got a crazy idea...

(Back outside, Slymme is gripping Pain by his coat lapel and is yelling into his face angrily. Pain seems peeved.)

Slymme: Tanks?! The list you gave me clearly stated that this warehouse was mostly empty!
Pain: It was, then we filled it. With tanks.

(Slymme strokes his chin in thought. We see his thought processes; they look like a Hannah-Barbera cartoon. A tank sits in the warehouse with a sign hanging from the cannon that reads "ACME Dishwash-o-matic (NOT a tank!)". In this imagined scenario, Slymme grins as Inspector Russo dumbly scratches his head.)

Slymme: I suppose that we might be able to claim they've been re-purposed for domestic applications...?
Pain: I think that'll be stretching it a bit...
