Interlude I: The Unusual Suspects

In between the main stories I'd like to take things "back to base" and do a series of contained episodes that don't have any major bearing on the overall plot.

Sam would like to point out that most of the episodes in this interlude were drawn a year before she stepped in to conclude the Occupant Sin storyline, so there's a drop in the art quality as these were back before she had a proper tablet screen setup to work with.

Title: Interlude 1 - The Unusual Suspects

This is a cover for the interlude. Pictured is a homage to the poster for the movie The Usual Suspects. Pain, Ben and the Captain are standing in a police lineup along with two characters we've yet to meet. One is a small, ginger hunchback in a pink fez whose right eye is a yellow with a red swirl instead of a pupil. He wears a labcoat. The other man is dirty blonde, has a straggly beard and is wearing a tropical shirt. The hunchback glares at the camera. The Captain is shifting his weight awkwardly. Pain has a smug expression. His jacket is off and bundled over his arm, his tie loose around his neck. Ben is standing at the back with his hands on his hips, smirking for the camera. The man in the tropical shirt looks uneasy.
