Chapter 1: Occupant Sin 4

Mr. S. Pain goes to Spain! Travelling to a remote rural location with the Captain to buy a biological weapon, Pain finds himself suddenly up against a massive cult of Spanish brainwashed zealots out for his blood.

Can the intervention of a seven-foot Scotsman and a well-dressed woman who looks suspiciously like his accountant save the day? And what role does the druggie superagent Jack Bauser play in things?

(It's basically Resident Evil 4. Seriously.)

Page Notes

Episode published on Monday 15th of February, 2010.

Lord Saddler in Resident Evil 4 has a throne in a couple of scenes. After navigating the sophisticated laser corridor as Leon, you can actually sit in on the throne and strike a pose. This will become a recurring gag in later Resident Evil games - I vaguely remember Chris having a go on a child's swing and other similar occurences. It's a distinctly Japanese touch in what are otherwise very American games.

Burdener comments in an earlier episode about the "British arms dealer" but this is the first time he's learned of Pain's actual name, hence why Pain has to explain that in the note. I am teh best writar evar.

Title - 67: "Occupant Sin 4"
Subtitle - xlviii. "Throne Out of Whack"

(Pain sits in Burdener's throne, head leaning on one of his hands in a bored manner. Captain stands nearby.)

Pain: So, this is Burdener’s "inner sanctum".
Captain: Nice?
Pain: Gaudy. Still, at least he doesn’t practise the same faecal décor his devout followers prefer. (Suddenly enthused by his seat) I'll tell you what, this is a bloody nice chair! I need a new office chair, too.
Captain: What do you expect us to do, carry it around with us?
Pain: How about we just move it somewhere for safekeeping?

Narrator: Meanwhile-

(Ben is taking down ganados left, right and center. There are bodies all around him and he is covered in blood. Burdener addresses one of his zealots.)

Burdener: Make sure to keep this oversized mongoloid busy until reinforcements arrive.
Zealot: Si.
Burdener: I'll be in my chamber.

Narrator: And so, five minutes later-

(Burdener stands in his inner sanctum. His throne has gone.)

Burdener: Where's my throne? Who dares remove my seat of power?!

(Seeing a note where his throne used to be, he picks it up and reads it.)

Note: Nice chair, YOINK! Yours truly, Mr. Pain and the Captain (British Guy and his American associate)

(Burdener angrily tears the note in half, screaming in anger.)

Burdener: GRRRRAAAAAGGHHH!

Episode tagline: Don't you just hate it when you get up for five minutes to make a sandwich or something, and some git has stolen your seat of power? Hate that. Totally.
