Chapter 2: An Inspector Calls

The Detulux team are shocked when the latest INTERPOL agent assigned to their case, Inspector Jacques Russo, puts two-and-two together and realises that Detulux Incorporated the legitimate domestics supplier might have something to do with Detulux Incorporated the illegal arms trading firm.

There's a mad scramble as Inspector Russo makes a surprise visit to Detulux HQ. Will Russo find evidence of a link and arrest the team? Is Pain really dressing as Doc Holliday and putting on a terrible Southern drawl as a disguise? What does Pain's (very expensive) solicitor have to say about all this?

Page Notes

Episode published on Sunday 5th of March, 2017.

This is technically the first proper Detulux story, since Occupant Sin 4 was an adventure outside of the usual Detulux day-to-day business. As such, it made sense to attempt to show off all the facilities that Detulux has before embarking on new stories. What better way to show off the entire facility than have a potential antagonist come and look at it?

Title - 111: "An Inspector Calls"
Subtitle - xxii. "The (Not so) Grand Tour"

(The entire episode is without dialogue. Inspector Russo is shown several warehouses across the complex, including warehouses 5, 8 and 10. Each one is completely empty and we can see that Russo is increasingly annoyed with each one he's shown. In warehouse 11 Russo is overjoyed to see a crate and runs over to it, only to discover that it is empty. Behind him Slymme points out an ammunition cartridge lying on the floor to Pain, who promptly punts it away out of sight with a kick. In warehouse 13, right in front of everyone, there is a henchman holding a gun stood on the service elevator for that warehouse, accompanied by several boxes of weapons. The lift hasn't had time to descend before the three men have entered the warehouse. However, in the middle of the warehouse is Snowball, rolling around on his back and being cute. Russo doesn't notice the elevator loaded up with guns, instead being scared off by the cat he's highly allergic to. Russo storms out of the warehouse.)
