[Chapter 1: Occupant Sin 4]
Chapter 1: Occupant Sin 4
Mr. S. Pain goes to Spain! Travelling to a remote rural location with the Captain to buy a biological weapon, Pain finds himself suddenly up against a massive cult of Spanish brainwashed zealots out for his blood.
Can the intervention of a seven-foot Scotsman and a well-dressed woman who looks suspiciously like his accountant save the day? And what role does the druggie superagent Jack Bauser play in things?
(It's basically Resident Evil 4. Seriously.)
Episode published on Monday 25th of December, 2006.
This page wasn't originally put up at Christmas 2006 - it was retroactively added in back when Detulux was hosted on Drunk Duck (now The Duck Webcomics) many, many years ago. As I was reuploading the archive I decided to add in a page of random art my other half drew around the time these strips were originally created on whatever Christmas this went up.
The context behind these olde tyme style 'toons has been lost to time. We cannot remember what the joke was behind these drawings, but they were just going to waste on my hard-drive so I figured I'd insert them as a retroactive Christmas '06 type page.
So Merry Christmas from me, Sam, and our past selves in 2006. Hope you have a good one. Maybe watch a couple of classic 'toons you love to celebrate, eh? I personally recommend the 1939 animated version of Gulliver's Travels, myself.
Oh, and Sam would like it pointed out that her art got better. This probably also explains why the background of this piece is incongruously more detailed than the chars in the foreground.

(The non-canon scene is an old-school cartoon type affair, very similar to the bouncy, rounded shiny eyed cartoons produced by a certain corporation ruled over by a happy mouse in the old days. Pain is talking to Ben Nevis -who hasn't been introduced in the story yet- and the Captain. Everyone is happy, possibly even elated. For some reason the Captain is wearing a pair of big round black ears on his hat, in no way a reference to a certain corporate mouse. They are all standing on a path near some bushes, and behind them is a vast scene of a castle overlooking a clifftop next to the sea. On the ocean is a battleship, which is in no respect the equivalent of a steamboat for this scene.)
Pain: Ha-ha, we're having a rollicking good time, eh chaps? In fact, I'm so happy, I want to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
(Behind Ben and Captain is a random bald farmer holding a pitchfork. He's equally as happy as everyone else in this scene.)
Farmer: Matalo!
