Chapter 2: An Inspector Calls

The Detulux team are shocked when the latest INTERPOL agent assigned to their case, Inspector Jacques Russo, puts two-and-two together and realises that Detulux Incorporated the legitimate domestics supplier might have something to do with Detulux Incorporated the illegal arms trading firm.

There's a mad scramble as Inspector Russo makes a surprise visit to Detulux HQ. Will Russo find evidence of a link and arrest the team? Is Pain really dressing as Doc Holliday and putting on a terrible Southern drawl as a disguise? What does Pain's (very expensive) solicitor have to say about all this?

Episode published on Sunday 28th of August, 2016.

While it may look like H.G. threw together a quick plan last minute to disguise himself and the servers, I like to think that the cardboard cutout has always been the contingency plan for years.

Title - 102: "An Inspector Calls"
Subtitle - xiii. "The Boiler Repairman"

(H.G. is rushing around his little sanctuary, a sheet bundled up in his arms. It has what looks like children's cartoon characters all over it.)

H.G.: Crap crap crap

(He throws the sheet over a bank of servers.)

H.G.: Hide the evidence quick quick

(He pulls out a rather unconvincing cardboard cutout of a sterotypical boiler, something that looks like it belongs in the 1800s. The boiler details appear to be drawn in felt tip and it actually has the word "BOILER" written on it.)

H.G.: Oh god oh god

(He props up the stand-up boiler in front of the bix box covered in a sheet. H.G. then roots through a drawer, throwing clothes everywhere.)

H.G.: Where is it?

(He pulls out a brand new set of overalls in red featuring a Detulux "D" badge on it.)

H.G.: Found it!

(H.G. begins struggling into the overalls, hopping on one foot as he pulls them on.)

H.G.: I'm a repair boilerman no I mean boiler repairman-

(A shadow of Pain appears on the glass of the boiler room door, the door handle rattles.)

H.G.: -a boiler repair-!

(H.G. freezes up halfway through suiting up as Pain begins walking down the steps into the basement. On a nearby wall is a poster for a film called "Naval Sunset" featuring a man with a big chin, a shotgun and a harpoon for an arm.)

Paine: -and heyah is the boiler room...

(Russo looks mildly annoyed, stood out in the hallway with Slymme.)

Russo: Ai do not went to go een zére, eet eez bairéng. What's zis ovair haire?

(Pain shrugs at H.G. and closes the door behind him with a "CLICK". After a few seconds H.G. loses his balance, still halfway through pulling on his jumpsuit. He waves one arm to try and keep his balance.)

H.G.: Wahh!

(He collapses backwards into the cutout boiler with a CRASH, pulling the sheet down on top of him as he does. His feet stick out from under the mess of sheet and cardboad on top of him.)

Episode tagline: "Naval Sunset" is that cult classic horror film starring everyone's favourite B-movie actor Bryce Chinbell.
