We normally aim for getting these out on the first of the month, but vague script changes and real life got in the way. Why is it always that the smallest episodes are always such a pain in the arse? Anyway, the Buff Manley stuff wasn't in this episode originally but it ties into the next episode so it really had to go in. Most of the back-and-forth I've had with Sam is over the cover art to a comic book that doesn't really exist.
I'm not sure where this gag about Adventure Time came from. I'd like to think it was a conversation I had with Sam while she was watching it (I've only ever seen maybe half an episode of it and played the LEGO Dimensions level at the time of writing) but I remember she scribbled it up as a rough draft so maybe it was just a random gag she came up with. I don't know, I think the script for this page has been sat around for maybe 3 years, maybe longer?
Next episode: absolutely nothing to do with Buff Manley!

Transcript
Title - 141: "Questing Occasion"
(We see three brightly-coloured characters on a television screen; a bendy elastic dog, a boy in a blue t-shirt and a purple princess character. It is revealed that H.G. is watching this, smiling happily.)
H.G.: Heh heh. Heh.
(Unknown to H.G., Pain is stood looking over his shoulder with a confused, frowny look on his face. When he speaks, he freaks out H.G.)
Pain: This is weirder than your usual porn.
H.G.: Agh! Stop doing that! And it's not porn! It's a cartoo- an animated show for grown ups!
(On screen, the cartoon boy frowns towards the viewer.)
Cartoon Boy: Heinous! The Frost Lord stole all the ice cream, dawg!
(The cartoon dog, twisting itself around, presents its butt and farts loudly.)
Dog's Butt: FFFAAAAAARTT!
(H.G. throws his head back and, placing hands on his face, let's out an expression of his frustration at how the TV show is clearly showing him and his convictions up in front of his boss.)
H.G.: *Exasperated scream*
(Pain is distracted by a stack of comic books on H.G.'s desk. He picks up the comic on the top. The cover is a very melodramatic display of a muscular man in tight-fitting clothes and a monocle riding a meteor while wielding a ray gun. An alien woman in a revealing dress swoons at his feet. Published by "MAX COMIXS" with a superfluous 'S', the title reads "THE CHRONICLES OF BUFF MANLEY", with a subtitle of "THIS ISSUE: TRAPPED IN THE RINGS OF VALERION!". Pain is clearly in thought over the comic's cover and walks away with it.)
Pain: Hmm.
(H.G. watches him walk away, incredulously.)
H.G.: Erm, sure, you can just borrow that, I guess?
