13: Whales

Another strip that I don't instantly cringe at when I OH MY GOD LOOK AT HOW HUGE PAIN'S HEAD IS. Seriously, I know anatomy is a concept I've always been liberal with but that guy's noggin is huge. I now try and work to characters being four or five heads tall. Pain is about three heads high in that last panel.

The quality of this one suffered from a new scanner, because I used to struggle with new pieces of technology (and still do). Obviously I couldn't get the settings right or something.

Alternative punchline: Pain's t-shirt says "NUKE WALES" and has a picture of a missile heading towards the country of Wales, which is coloured in the colours of the national flag (including the dragon). It's alright, I'm half-Welsh, I'm allowed to take the Mick out of the place (it's a perk...possibly the only perk).

By the way, I don't really like whales that much. I don't get what the fuss is all about. I'm sure if we removed all of the whales from the ocean we could prevent the seas rising from global warming! Because I'm a genius and that is exactly how water displacement works, fnarr fnarr.

Pain: I LIKE YOUR T-SHIRT. I HAVE ONE JUST LIKE IT.

Protester: REALLY?
Pain: ACTUALLY, MINE'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT BUT THE PRINCIPLE IS THE SAME...
